Clinique romande de réadaptation (Suvacare) in Sion, Switzerland, is specialized in the rehabilitation of long-term injuries. The clinic was looking for a way to make information available to authorized staff faster and in a secure way. And it also wanted to avoid that the patients were asked identical questions by different healthcare professionals through all the different steps of the patient admission and handling process, which was not only time-consuming and boring for the patient, but also prevented the professional from concentrating on the medical part.
Since 2009, the clinic is using a solution from Digital Pen Corporation, which is based on Anoto technology. It is fully integrated with Candice, the clinic’s electronic patient records. Various solutions based on laptops and tablet PC:s were tested before this decision was made and the other solutions all had their advantages and disadvantages. However, the Anoto Digital Pen was the only solution that enabled a simple, flexible and secure method for data capture and information transfer.
