Anoto Technology & Licensing develops and sells digital pen technology and digital pens on OEM basis to market leading customers. The customers develop their own product offers based on the technology components and pens provided by Anoto. Examples of customer products are learning toys, educational tools, visual communication equipment and personal productivity solutions. Several of these products are interactive, enabling real-time audio or visual feedback while writing or when touching interactive areas. 

Digital pens
Anoto provides standard digital pens and OEM pens as well as customized smart pens of various kinds.

The ADP-301 pen is the latest product in our pen portfolio. It offers real-time capturing and transmission of handwritten data to computers, mobile phones or any other Bluetooth equipped device. The ADP-301 pen can capture handwriting on paper and many other types of surfaces. Application areas for ADP-301 include note taking, pen tablets, interactive whiteboards and interactive media and entertainment.

The ADP301 pen is available in an Anoto standard version and as an OEM product.
The ADP301 is part of PolyVision eno and Oxford PaperShow products.

Digital pen technology
Anoto has developed the digital pen and paper technology to enable a multitude of products. Anoto digital pen technology consists of hardware and software components that can be integrated into other products or become the base for new products. The Anoto digital pen technology always enables correct accurate positioning on any surface and can additionally provide e.g. pressure, pen angle and absolute time for each position.

Thanks to its leading technology and strong partnerships Anoto can offer small sized, cost efficient components with low power consumption.

Currently Anoto has two customers that develop their own pens using technology components from Anoto; LeapFrog and Livescribe, both based in the United States. The companies offer products with built in audio capabilities enabling real-time audio feedback from paper.

Pattern and paper
Anoto provides software modules for managing pattern and design as well as printing the Anoto pattern. It can be used to print everything from one page up to millions of unique pages in various sizes. Pattern is available for data streaming in real time as well as for batched data stored in the pens. The pattern can be printed using standard offset, digital or laser print. Other custom print technologies can also be supported as well as printing pattern on other surfaces than paper including plastic tablets, whiteboards, transparent glass surfaces and even LCD screens.

Applications
The Anoto API for software applications is used to extract, map, store, manipulate and manage pen data. Interactive, real time, front end applications as well as data processing back-end applications can be developed. The API is available for market leading PC and mobile phone platforms. Additionally Anoto can provide API modules for customized platforms on request.

Anoto can also supply software modules and tools that support e.g. device connectivity, image rendering and paper design.
